Hello people,
Well its very difficult to work on CAS cards as we are used to add so many things to our cards to give it a special look but I feel sometimes a simple cards makes a difference.
Made this card for Catchychallenges entry, simonsayswednesday challenge, beyond grey challenge, onecrazystamper and Craft deebowz.

Have used heart stamp from itsy bitsy, handmade golden bow, pearl line, red card stock for sentiment.

Have fun.

You are precious

Hello all,
I am back with a new card.
I just loved making this simple card but full of feelings.
I used handcut diamond,
Black and white card stock, pearl line from a local store, watercolour pens, pink patterened paper and a snowflake punch.
Tried to give bit of childish look.

Rest is visible.

B/W card- Love you

Hello all,
I am back again with a new card. Well today working on black and white themed card.
It was really fun experimenting with embossing folder and versamark ink pad.
Take black cardstock place it inside the embossing folder and pass it through your die cut machine. Well I don't have such machine so used rolling pin for embossing.
Now I rubbed versamark white ink pad over the embossed parts of card stock.
Finally stick it over white card stock.
Decorate it with handmade butterfly or any other embellishments and add your sentiment.

You can check how to make handmade butterfly from my previous post.

Hope you guys enjoyed it, do leave your valuable comments.

Spread your wings

Hello,
Well today I tried on a new technique by getting inspired from one of the YouTube video.
I really liked Rajni chawla's challenge, its  a great way to appreciate the original crafter and recognize them.
I never tried embossing using embossing powder and was thinking to give it a try, while browsing YouTube came across the wonderful " color on color resist embossing technique and could not control myself.
I was confused as I was not having clear embossing powder or the inks.
I modified it according to my availability ;-).
For this card I have used white and red card stock, watercolor sketch pens, candle ( yes you heard it right- wax candle), fabercastle ink pads ( blue and black), wow golden embossing powder, technique Tuesday clear stamps, white pen.
First of all I drew outline of butterfly on cardstock, colored it randomly using sketch pens.

Took clear white candle and covered the colored butterflies.
Later I covered the card stock with blue using ink pad and then black ink pad.
Now take a wet tissue or cloth and wipe off the ink from the colored butterflies.
I was amazed by the effect created as I while covered the butterflies with wax I left few spaces uncovered so the blue and black ink can create its effect.
Rub a clean cloth over the butterflies to give smoothness to the surface and you will see that area shining.

I used white pen to give outline to butterflies to give it depth and 3D look.
I took butterfly stamp and using versa mark watermark ink pad stamped it on the card stock. I didn't apply versa mark ink pad to whole stamp as I wanted partial shiny butterflies.
Covered the stamped butterflies with gold embossing powder and removed excess and heated it.

Layered it on another cardstock and used red card stock for the sentiment from same stamp set.

 Really enjoyed the modified version.

Hope you all will also enjoy it, do leave your valuable comments.

Tea time gossips

Hello,
Just dropped in to show my new creation.
The summer is at its peak and we die to see soothing blue and green color.
Just tried to treat the eyes with vines and add some chirping birds to create the magic of beautiful nature.
Tried to create a batik ( tie die ) effect using memory box stencil.
I embossed baby pink paper using embossing folder from itsy bitsy and used it in negative way.

Some close up views.

Hope it will be a treat to watch for you all too.

Handmade butterfly embellishments

Hello all,
We all go crazy looking either at butterflies or peacock feathers.
Today I am going to share a very simple technique to make your butterflies even if you don't have a die cut machine or dies.
I bought few memory box stencils and using the same stencil to create my handmade butterfly embellishments.
 Materials used

Take a white card stock, place the stencil on it, trace it using black permanent marker.

Now fill up all the small grooves with black sketch pen or permanent marker.
Now to give a watercolor effect use the light shades of sketch pens like pink, sky blue, green, yellow and orange and fill the rest areas of butterfly and allow colors to overlap a bit to give merging effect.

Tadaa... finally your beautiful velvety looking butterfly embellishments are ready.
To make them more shiny you can apply mod podge or apply a coat of fevicol/ varnish.
See how I used my butterfly for a making a simple card look beautiful.

I made few more sea creatures in same way for my upcoming card. Do come again to watch it.

Hope you enjoyed this simple butterfly embellishments.
 Do share your views.
